Academic exchange, research cooperation, and educational development
The Catholic University of Rwanda (CUR) and Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences (SeAMK) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote academic exchange and cooperation. The main objective is to enhance educational opportunities, advance research, and strengthen institutional collaboration.
Key activities include:
Exchange of faculty members, researchers, and students to foster learning and teaching experiences.
Organization of joint research projects, conferences, and academic meetings.
Sharing academic information, publications, and resources.
Development of joint courses, programs, and double degree initiatives.
Other mutually agreed activities supporting academic and institutional goals.
Each party covers its own costs unless otherwise specified. The MoU is non-binding regarding financial obligations, amendments require mutual consent, and it remains valid for five years, with renewal or termination possible with six months' notice.
CUR benefits by gaining international exposure, enhanced research collaboration, access to new curricula and teaching methods, and opportunities for its students and faculty to study and work abroad. SeAMK benefits by strengthening ties with African higher education institutions, accessing regional research opportunities, enhancing cultural exchange, and expanding its global academic network. Both universities strengthen global engagement, cross-cultural collaboration, and educational innovation through this partnership.
