Transforming Education Through Creativity, Play, and Technology
On 4 October 2025, the Catholic University of Rwanda (CUR), in collaboration with Fun Campus Oy (Finland), officially launched the Fun Learning Campus at its Huye Campus. This innovative initiative marks a new chapter in transforming education through creativity, play, and technology.
On Friday, 23 January 2026, the Training Center of Fun Learning at the Catholic University of Rwanda (CUR) visited several private primary and secondary schools in Huye. The visits aimed to support these schools in introducing Fun Learning methodologies into their teaching practices.
Fun Learning is a transformative approach that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and active participation among students. By integrating this method, CUR contributes to the national and global vision of modern education, helping Rwandan schools align with best practices in teaching and learning worldwide.
Through this initiative, CUR positions itself at the forefront of modern education, providing secondary school teachers with the tools and expertise to transform their classrooms. Educators ready to innovate and inspire can join CUR's specialized programs—bringing global teaching standards into every Rwandan classroom.
The Fun Learning Campus aims to promote joyful, engaging, and student-centered learning that stimulates curiosity, collaboration, and innovation. By integrating fun learning principles into teaching, CUR prepares students to become creative thinkers, problem-solvers, and global innovators.
Soon, the campus will begin Early Childhood Education programs and establish a Nursery School that fully embraces the fun learning model, setting a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
For CUR students, this partnership offers access to modern pedagogical methods, interactive digital tools, and international exposure.
For the surrounding community, it creates opportunities for teacher training, community workshops, and early childhood development programs inspired by global best practices.
