A HISTORIC INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR OPENS A NEW CHAPTER OF GROWTH AND INNOVATION
The Catholic University of Rwanda (CUR) has reached an exciting new milestone by hosting its First International Research and Capacity-Building Seminar on 2nd and 3rd December 2025. This landmark event, organized together with the African Educational Pact Institute, clearly shows that CUR is becoming one of the fastest-growing universities in Africa. The seminar focused on an inspiring theme: “Responsibilities of Theologians toward the Church, Society, and the University.”
CUR TAKES A MAJOR LEAP FORWARD
Under the patronage of His Eminence Antoine Cardinal KAMBANDA, CUR welcomed leading scholars from Africa, Europe, and the United States, including:
Prof. Jean-Paul NIYIGENA, African Educational Pact Institute
Rev. Prof. Leo LEFEBURE, Georgetown University, USA
Sr. Prof. Ana Thea FILIPOVIC, University of Zagreb, Croatia
Rev. Prof. François NDZANA, Catholic University of Central Africa, Cameroon
For two days, participants shared inspiring ideas, built new academic connections, and shaped a strong vision for the future of research and education at CUR. The seminar also boosted the university’s efforts to grow international partnerships and develop innovative master’s programs.
With this successful event, CUR shows that it is a dynamic, ambitious, and globally minded university; one that empowers its students, encourages research, and works closely with international partners.
The journey has begun, and CUR is ready to shine even brighter.
