From December 20 to 22, 2025, the Catholic University of Rwanda (CUR) had the pleasure of hosting a delegation from Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University (UKSW), Poland. The visit marked a significant step in strengthening the partnership, focusing on the establishment of dual degree programs, starting with the Master’s in Theology.
CUR AND UKSW: ESTABLISHING AND STRENGTHENING PARTNERSHIP FOR DUAL DEGREE THEOLOGY PROGRAMS
This collaboration allows students to earn two internationally recognized degrees, one from CUR and one from UKSW, offering a unique blend of African and European perspectives in theological education. Students benefit from academic exchanges, joint learning opportunities, and access to experienced lecturers from both universities. Graduates are well-prepared for further studies, teaching, church service, and leadership roles, locally and globally.
For both universities, this partnership strengthens staff exchanges, collaborative research, and joint publications. It fosters innovative curricula, intercultural understanding, and academic excellence. By sharing expertise and best practices, CUR and UKSW enhance theological education, build institutional capacity, and create lasting opportunities for students, faculty, and the global church community.
