CUR and German Partners Strengthen Commitment to Peace, Unity and Resilience
On 9 October 2026, the Catholic University of Rwanda (CUR) hosted a seminar on Peace Pedagogy, bringing together CUR administrators and educators with partners from Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, for a meaningful exchange on peace education, reconciliation, resilience, and sustainable conflict transformation. The seminar provided a valuable platform for sharing experiences and good practices from Rwanda and Germany, highlighting the importance of education in cultivating cultures of peace, unity, dialogue, and resilience. Participants explored how lessons from different historical and social contexts can contribute to innovative approaches to peace-building in Rwanda and beyond.
A highlight of the event was the presentation by the CUR Peace, Unity, and Resilience Club, which showcased its activities aimed at promoting peace, strengthening unity, fostering dialogue, and contributing to the preservation of Rwanda’s social cohesion. The Club’s initiatives were highly appreciated by participants, reaffirming the important role that young people and educational institutions can play in building peaceful and resilient societies.

Following rich discussions and knowledge exchange, CUR and its German partners expressed their commitment to developing a long-term partnership for peace-building, extending their shared vision beyond national boundaries towards a global culture of peace. As a concrete outcome, participants agreed to initiate the “Global Peace Ambassadors” programme, a platform designed to connect individuals and institutions committed to sharing and promoting initiatives for peace, unity, reconciliation, and resilience across countries.

This is a good initiative in Peace ,Unity and Resilience promotion between CUR and Paterners from Germany .Peace is cornerstone of all development of all Nations!!!
