CUR Strengthens International Partnership and Advances Trauma-Informed Education
The visit provided an important platform for academic exchange, knowledge sharing, and the development of innovative educational initiatives. Beyond classroom teaching, discussions between CUR and NLA University College explored opportunities for deeper and sustainable institutional collaboration.
A major outcome of the visit was the agreement to initiate the process of establishing a Centre for Trauma-Informed Education at the Catholic University of Rwanda. The proposed Centre is envisioned as a platform for research, professional training, community engagement, and the development of evidence-based educational practices that promote wellbeing, resilience, inclusion, and holistic human development.
This initiative reflects CUR's commitment to addressing emerging educational and psychosocial challenges through interdisciplinary research, international partnerships, and innovative academic programmes. It also represents a significant step towards positioning CUR as a regional hub for Trauma-Informed Education, research, and professional development.
CUR looks forward to deepening its collaboration with NLA University College and translating this shared vision into concrete programmes that contribute to more responsive, resilient, and human-centred education in Rwanda and beyond.
