The Catholic University of Rwanda (CUR) is committed to continuously exploring innovative approaches that enhance access to higher education and ensure long-term sustainability for our students and graduates. In line with this vision, on 22nd August 2025, CUR hosted a specialized training session delivered by Chancen International staff, focusing on the Income Share Agreement (ISA) model implementation.
TRAINING ON INCOME SHARE AGREEMENT (ISA) MODEL IMPLEMENTATION

The training brought together CUR staff from the Faculty of Education (FED), the Faculty of Commerce (FCom), and the Registrar’s Office, equipping them with practical knowledge and tools to better understand, design, and apply the ISA framework within the university context.

The ISA model is an innovative financing mechanism where students agree to contribute a percentage of their future income for a defined period after graduation. This approach reduces upfront financial barriers and provides students with greater flexibility in pursuing their studies, while aligning education financing with employability outcomes.

Through this training, CUR reinforces its commitment to offering equitable opportunities for students, fostering inclusion, and supporting national goals of widening access to quality higher education. This initiative marks another milestone in CUR’s dedication to innovation, student-centered growth, and impactful partnerships.
